THE KENPO CREED |
|
"I
come to you with only, Karate, empty hands. I have no weapons, |
|
but
should I be forced to defend myself, my principles, |
|
or my
honor, should it be a matter of life or death, of right or wrong, |
|
then
here are my weapons, Karate, my empty hands." |

Kenpo's origin started in China sometime in the early seventeenth
century. In the1940s a Hawaiian native named Ed Parker Americanized
Kenpo. Ed Parker analyzed combat from a scientific point of view.
Parker's aggressive system became known as American Kenpo. Kenpo is
known for its wide variety of techniques all delivered in a continuous,
relentless flow. Kenpo uses a chain of
linear and
circular movements with a signature "rapid fire" combination of blows to
vital areas of the body.
Instead of relying on one power blow as in other martial
art styles. Master Cody has continued where Ed Parker left off. Master
Cody has added his personal knowledge of the streets, and of modern
society to develop a self-defense style that works above all others. |
